A: We do not use preservatives in our soap so when storing your bars before use keep them in a cool dry place and they should last for several years. Try placing them in your clothing drawers to scent your clothes or in the linen closet to add a wonderful scent to your sheets and blankets. We aim to make our soaps so great that you will use them and not need to worry about storage!
Once you have started using your soap you will notice that it will last just as long as any other brand assured you allow it to dry completely between uses. Choose a soap dish that drains water away from your soap.
I called my father one afternoon and explained my dilemma of not being able to fit all my soaps on one tiny soap deck. So he came up with a solution for me. This is the amazingly long soap deck that my father made me for my shower because I have more than one favorite. Once you try a few of our soaps you just might have the same problem.
Q: Who is responsible for the beautiful images on your products?
A: That would be my immensely talented and generous sister Sharon Smith. She first sketches and then watercolors each image for me to use and put on the labels as seen here working in my studio one afternoon.
Q: What kind of ingredients do you use in your products?
A: We are serious about our commitment to natural product ingredients! Our truly natural products are biodegradable, cruelty free, minimally packaged, and do not contain synthetic fragrance oils, preservatives, petroleum products, FD&C colorants or dyes, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl or laureth sulfates, antibacterial triclosan, or other harmful chemicals. When possible we use USDA and Oregon Tilth certified organic, and responsibly wild harvested ingredients. We obtain our Palm Kernel oil from a harvester and manufacture who adheres to highly detailed sustainable harvesting protocols with the assistance of the Roundtable for sustainable Palm Oil.

Q: I want to know what a specific ingredient is in a product but I do not recognize the name. Where can I get more information about the ingredients?
A: We use the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients or INCI when listing the ingredients in our products. This allows for the consumer to be able to correctly identify any ingredient in the product and reduce the risk of allergic reaction to an ingredient the user has had an allergy to before. If you are curious about any of the ingredients in our products check out the Ingredient Glossary. There is nothing secret about the ingredients we use. We want you to have full confidence in the products you are using and be informed about what you are putting on your body.
