Christine Lyons works across opera, theater, and staged performance to create roles that balance vocal rigor with emotional immediacy. A bel canto specialist, she has starred in La Straniera at Lincoln Center, Lucia di Lammermoor, Norma, Amenaide in Tancredi, Norina in Don Pasquale, and Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, among others. She has appeared as Agrippina at Florida Grand Opera, as Governess in The Turn of the Screw, and joined San Francisco Opera for Il Trovatore.
Her work as a soprano soloist includes performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and in concert works such as Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. Lyons has sung for the United Nations, President and Dr. Biden, and for organizations including Lyric Fest, Gotham FC, and the Denyce Graves Foundation.
Her theatrical foundation includes roles at Joe’s Pub, People’s Light Theater, and Goodspeed Opera House, and spans actor-musician productions, national tours, and contemporary staged works. Recent interdisciplinary engagements include This Is a Test at The Shed and The Me I Want to Sing at the Kennedy Center.
