Moon Weaver is an original opera currently in development. Drawing inspiration from the life and legacy of mathematician Katherine Johnson, the work traces the expansive inner journey of a young mind becoming a visionary force. Blending fiction with historical resonance, the libretto follows Katherine’s evolution from early wonder to a profound command of pattern and insight.
The opera examines what Katherine Johnson built intellectually, emotionally, and generationally, and considers the scale of that achievement. Moon Weaver is a story of family, clarity of purpose, and the structures that help brilliance take root.
Excerpts are currently available for co-development, commission, and performance partnership.
